Small Batch Manufacturing

Duffield Design is manufactured in small runs at our studio-boutique in Almonte, Ontario - where you can often catch a glimpse of our team at work while you shop.

Keeping production close to home allows us to maintain a high standard of quality, support fair working conditions, and reduce the environmental impact associated with overseas manufacturing. Producing in-house gives us greater control over every stage of the process, from construction to finishing, and our small team of skilled seamstresses work on a flexible production schedule, with the ability to set their own working days and hours. 

For larger production runs and select styles, such as our Classic Blazer, we partner with a small, female-owned factory in Toronto’s historic garment district. We have an ongoing relationship with the factory and visit regularly to ensure their workmanship meets the same standards we maintain in our own studio. 

We’re a small but mighty team of women united by an appreciation for beautifully made clothing — and we believe the difference can be seen and felt in every piece.

Alterations & Repairs

We offer complimentary basic hemming and mending to help you get the best possible fit and extend the life of your Duffield pieces. More involved alterations may carry an additional charge to cover the extra labour required, typically starting at approximately $25 CAD, depending on the complexity of the work.
