At Duffield Design we offer a variety of styles categorized by fit. Since we primarily use jersey knits, our garments have lots of stretch and can be worn in different sizes, depending on your personal preference. We always recommend choosing sizes and styles based on what is most comfortable for you as an individual. Find Your Fit

Modern: Streamlined, fitting slightly closer to the body for a contemporary look.

Classic: Timeless silhouettes that tend to be universally flattering.

Relaxed: Effortless drape, designed to be roomier or worn oversized. Some people will select a size (or more) down in these styles.

Slim: Sleek and fitting close to the body. Some people will select a size up in these styles.

Very Slim: Typically designed as an underpinning or layering piece. Some people will select a size up in these styles.

The beauty of Duffield Design is that our styles can be worn more fitted or more relaxed, depending on the wearer's preference. That means a size Medium can opt for the next size up if they prefer a looser fit, just as they can select a size down if they prefer a closer fit - it's all about personal comfort!

How to Measure Yourself

Note: For the most accurate measurements possible, wear only well-fitted undergarments while taking your measurements.

Bust: To measure your bust, wear your favourite go-to bra. To ensure the tape is straight and the measurement accurate, stand in front of a mirror as you measure. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust (making sure not to pull too tightly or hold too loosely). When the tape is snug take a couple of relaxed breaths before writing down your measurement.

*Keep in mind your bust measurement may vary slightly depending on the bra you are wearing.

Waist: With your hands on your waist and your elbows bent at a 90-degree angle, tilt your upper body right and left. Where your trunk creases is your natural waist. Wrap the tape around your natural waist; take a few relaxed breaths before writing down your measurements.

Hip: Stand up straight (in front of a mirror) with your feet together. Locate the widest point of your hips and wrap the tape around ensuring it remains as straight as possible. Write down your measurement.

 

NOTE: The Size Chart below is an approximation; most styles will have individual measurements provided in the product description.

 

 

 

General Washing

All Duffield Design clothing pieces are machine washable. We recommend washing in lukewarm or cold water with dye & perfume free biodegradable detergent. Clothing should be hung up or laid flat to dry and steamed if needed.

Items made with TENCEL™ Lyocell Knit (Lux fabric) are more delicate and can be prone to pulls. To avoid pulls while washing we recommend washing on a gentle cycle with other delicate items and using a wash-safe mesh garment bag. 

Any items made from 100% Organic Cotton and TENCEL™ Lyocell Knit are not suitable for machine dryers please be careful and avoid high heat to keep these in your wardrobe for many years to come.

Clothing Storage

Storage of your clothing is just as important as washing to ensure they remain in the best possible condition. We use high quality knit eco-textiles that are pre-shrunk and will remain true to size if following our recommended washing instructions. Because of the nature of knit fabrics some styles hold their shape best while folded instead of hanging.

Any of our Lux styles using TENCEL™ Lyocell Knit fabric should be kept folded.
